Why should I join EMeRG? |
EMeRG is a teaching EMS agency for GW students interested in practicing emergency medicine, clinical and operational skills, at their home away from home - GW. More than a volunteer job, EMeRG is a group committed to each other. From mentorships to alumni relations, to academic and social opportunities, EMeRG is a place which encourages growth for the whole student, not just the EMT.
EMeRG is tailored to the student schedule. Unlike other volunteer agencies, our shifts are as short as three hours to accommodate courses or other activities. Furthermore, EMeRG is a great fit to any student living on GW campus or nearby Foggy Bottom, as a commute into our office is a mere minute walk. EMeRG provides monthly CME courses, free CPR recertification, and NREMT recertification to all members. EMeRG covers the cost for all members to receive a DC Department of Health EMT certificate. |
