Some commonly asked questions about EMeRG Departmental CPR Courses:

Why should my department have CPR training?

Because CPR is such an important life saving step should someone be suffering from cardiac arrest. CPR training also teaches you how to assist somebody who may be choking, how to use an AED, and how to properly activate the emergency response system. Any department of The George Washington University may, for a fee, request an EMeRG Departmental CPR Course.

How much does this service cost?

For a complete listing of course costs, please see our CPR info page. If you are planning a group training session, simply multiply the course fee listed on that page for a course total.

What if the class must be canceled?

EMeRG requires at least 10 business days notice when scheduling classes for a department. If the course is canceled without twenty-four (24) hours notice prior to the event, the department will be charged a fee of $150.00.

How can I pay?

EMeRG currently accepts only the University Oracle program for payment. Any exceptions must be made by University Police Chief Dolores Stafford. All Oracle payments must be charged to Account 59502 (Security Services), no exceptions can be made to this portion of the policy.

NOTE: If an exception for payment is granted by the Chief of Police, please DO NOT use this form to request a class. Instead, contact EMeRG Coordinator David Fifer to make special arrangements.
