Some commonly asked questions about EMeRG Standby Services:

Who can request EMeRG standby services?

Any organization or department affiliated with The George Washington University may, for a fee, Request EMeRG for standby emergency medical response for an event.

How much does this service cost?

There is a four (4) hour minimum charge for EMeRG standby services. A crew of only two EMTs, EMeRG charges $75.70 per hour. For an enhanced level of service, EMeRG can provide an ambulance with the crew for $150.00 per hour.

What if my event is canceled?

EMeRG requires at least 10 business days notice when scheduling standby services for an event. If your plans change, or the event is canceled without eight (8) hours notice prior to the event, the department/ individual will be charged for the minimum 4 hours.

How can I pay?

EMeRG currently accepts only the University Oracle program for payment. Any exceptions must be made by University Police Chief Dolores Stafford. All Oracle payments must be charged to Account59502 (Security Services), no exceptions can be made to this portion of the policy.
